The OMEGA Speedmaster is one of OMEGA’s most iconic timepieces. Having been a part of all six lunar missions, the legendary Speedmaster is an impressive representation of the brand’s adventurous pioneering spirit. The Speedmaster Professional “From the Moon to Mars”, introduced at Baselworld in 2004, it was a numbered but not limited edition, production ceased in 2012 when around 6000 watches of this beautiful and sought-after model were produced in total. On the dial of the watch are images of the Earth, the Moon and Mars with the words “FROM THE MOON TO MARS”. The case back features the classic “Flight-Qualified by NASA for all manned space missions” engraving, “From the Moon to Mars” has been added in the lower half, followed by the unique number. The beating heart of this “jewel” is the classic and reliable hand-wound Omega caliber 1861 on a Lemania base. Omega did not produce special box, booklet or papers for this numbered model but kept the box and classic documentation of the normal “Moonwatches” of the time. The watch for sale, complete with original box, booklet and guarantee card, was produced in 2004 (one of the first products) and sold by an official Omega dealer in January 2005.
