Introduced at Baselworld 2015, the TAG Heuer Monaco Caliber 11 “McQueen” is a worthy re-edition of the original Heur Monaco 1133B Chronomatic Caliber 11 from 1969, which was the first automatic chronograph movement ever offered for sale in the history of watchmaking. In 1970, Jo Siffert became the first racing driver to be sponsored by a watch brand, a year later (1971), Steve McQueen wearing the Monaco during the filming for “Le Mans” consigning it to history simply as the “Steve McQueen” and helping in making the Monaco the globally recognized watch icon.
