TThe Omega Speedmaster Professional is recognized by enthusiasts worldwide as “The Moon Watch.” It was the only watch out of 12 brands to pass NASA’s tests for use in space. It is one of OMEGA’s most iconic timepieces, having been part of all six lunar missions. The legendary Speedmaster perfectly embodies the adventurous and pioneering spirit of the brand. The watch for sale, known as APOLLO XVII, with reference 35745100, was produced by Omega in a limited and numbered edition of 3000 pieces in 2002 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Apollo XVII mission dedicated to astronaut E.A. Cernan, the last man to set foot on the moon on December 14, 1972. The watch, resembling a standard MoonWatch, stands out from the regular production with its case back, which features Cernan’s name, the moon landing date, and the inscription “LAST MEN ON THE MOON.” The case back also bears a special central logo created specifically for this reference and the limited serial number. This watch is a “collectible” piece, complete with everything, and is nearly in like-new condition. It has been serviced at an authorized Omega service center and comes with a 2-year warranty from the same Omega service center that conducted the servicing.
