Info
The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch reference 3590.50.00 was introduced in 1988 and was produced for only a few years until 1997. This fact, among others, makes it a highly sought-after model among watch enthusiasts and collectors worldwide. One of its most appreciated features is its vintage charm; the tritium lume on the indices has developed a unique golden sand-colored patina over time, giving the dial a stunning, “disarming” beauty.
But there is one particular feature of the watch for sale that makes it loved and sought after by collectors all over the world: the “long S and R” dial with serifed lettering. This particular dial, produced by Omega only between approximately 1988 and 1991, differs from all others due to the elongated initial S and final R in “Speedmaster,” as well as having serifed letters.
The beating heart of this model is the iconic gold-colored manual-winding Omega 861 caliber, developed on the Lemania 1873 base. The bracelet, one of the most beautiful and comfortable to wear ever developed by Omega for its Moonwatch, is the satin-finished steel bracelet reference 1479.
The watch for sale comes complete with all its original accessories, as shown in the last photo. It has just been serviced by an authorized/certified Omega service center (2 years of warranty on the movement from the Omega service center that performed the service) and is in nearly like-new condition (refer to the description and photos in the listing for exact conditions).
