Just serviced at an Omega certified service center. Produced in 1999 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the moon landing, this limited edition Speedmaster numbered to 9999 pieces, apparently is a “normal” MoonWatch, but has a caseback that fans around the world has chosen the most beautiful caseback ever produced by Omega. Not only because of the central logo depicting an eagle, but also for the engraving of this limited edition: “HELLO HOUSTON, TRANQUILITY BASE HERE, THE EAGLE HAS LANDED”. The case has been professionally restored and brought back to its “ancient splendor”. Unlike polishing, the restoration, carried out by professionals in the sector, brings the watch back to its original factory conditions, both in terms of finishes and in terms of thicknesses / sizes. During the overhaul at the certified Omega service center, only the parts of the internal mechanism subject to wear, the plexiglass and the waterproof kit (mandatory during the overhaul according to Omega parameters) were replaced. The waterproof kit includes the push button panel and the gaskets. Case, bracelet, dial, bezel with tachymeter scale (without accent) and hands are the original ones and coeval with the year of production and were not “touched” during the overhaul.
