If we talk with watches enthusiasts and collectors from all over the world and ask them to describe a sports and diving watch in 2 words, they would answer almost in unison: Rolex Submariner. The “Submariner” were made by Rolex in many references, the model most appreciated by collectors without any doubt is the Submariner no date. Introduced by Rolex in 1962 with the “mythical” reference 5513, in 1989 it was replaced by the reference 14060, which fortunately differs only slightly from the previous model: the sapphire crystal is introduced, the dial becomes polished and the caliber is updated to the movement Rolex 3000. Interrupted in 2011/2012, over the years there have been small changes: in 1999/2000 passage to luminova and movement updated to caliber 3130 (ref. 14060M) and in 2007 acquisition of chronometer certification (dial “4 lines “). The watch for sale, with case and bracelet never polished, was produced by Rolex in December 1999, has a luminova dial but still mounts the old caliber 3000 (reference 14060).
