In 1980 Omega introduced the first Speedmaster Professional with a display back, available only for the Apollo XI numbered edition in 18K gold with the reference 345.0802. In 1985 and until 1988 Omega started using the rear display on the steel reference 345.0808 (Apollo XI) with caliber 863 movement with copper finish. In 1988 Omega changes from the reference 345.0808 to the reference 3592.50, the caliber 863 of the watch changes from a copper finish to a gold finish. From 1988 until 1990 the “Apollo XI” with rear display were produced in numbered edition (about 1000 pieces). From 1990 until 1995 Omega changed its 3592.50, the writing “Apollo XI” remained engraved on the case back but the case was no longer in a numbered edition. In the last 2 years of production of the Apollo XI reference 3592.50, which ended in 1997 with the transition from tritium to SuperLuminova, the Apollo XI writing on the case back disappeared, the golden caliber 863 went from 17 to 18 jewels and the bracelet, iconic 1479 gives way to the new bracelet with reference 1499. The watch for sale, perfectly coeval, was produced by Omega in 1993, has a beautiful tritium dial with warm yellow patina, it is not in a numbered edition, it mounts the caliber 863 with 17 jewels, has Apollo XI written on the case back, and comes on the iconic reference 1479 bracelet.
