Info
Now out of production for over 10 years, introduced in 1988 and produced until 2010, the Omega Speedmaster Reduced, with a case diameter of 38.5mm, among the various watches in the Omega Speedmaster collection, was sold as the smaller version of the Speedy. The Speedmaster Reduced is sometimes also referred to as the Speedmaster Automatic because it has an automatic self-winding movement inside! This, in addition to the size, it is the most important difference with the classic Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, famous for its traditional hand-wound caliber. The model for sale with a yellow dial is known as “Reduced Michael Schumacher” and is part of a series of 3 reduced models put in the catalog by Omega starting from 1996 until about the year 2000. These particular reduced models differ from the classic model for the dial: Red in honor of the Ferrari team, blue in honor of the Benetton team and Yellow in honor of the Jordan team. The yellow Jordan Gran Prix model was presented in July 1996 by Michael Schumacher in Kerpen, Germany.
